Fertility Solutions is proud to offer patients a full spectrum of infertility care, ranging from diagnostic testing through many treatment options customized to each patient’s particular needs. Comprehensive fertility care doesn’t begin and end with in vitro fertilization (IVF) for everyone.
In fact, there are many different treatments designed to help meet the needs of anyone who wishes to build a family, from those struggling with infertility to LGBTQ couples. IVF isn’t a go-to remedy, and fertility centers like Fertility Solutions work with patients to create an effective and affordable treatment plan.
Besides for IVF, how can Fertility Solutions help?
IVF won’t fit every single treatment plan – sometimes, it isn’t a fertility specialist’s first choice recommendation, or it may not even be required at all.
Third-party reproduction
Third-party reproduction is when a couple or individual uses a third-party to help build a family, such as an egg donor, sperm donor, gestational surrogate, or a combination of the three. Third-party reproduction is used to assist infertile patients and LGBTQ couples who cannot conceive or carry a pregnancy on their own. For example, a same-sex female couple will require the help of a sperm donor to have a baby, and they will likely use intrauterine insemination (IUI) to conceive instead of IVF. Same-sex male couples will need an egg donor as well as a gestational surrogate in order to have a baby, and in this scenario, IVF is needed to create the embryo that will be implanted.
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)
Used during IVF, PGD screens embryos for specific genetic or chromosomal conditions and disorders. PGD is used when a couple or individual has a concern about passing a genetic condition on to their future children. It is also used in cases of recurrent miscarriage or selecting the sex of the child (sex selection). Examples of conditions screened in PGD include cystic fibrosis, Huntington’s disease, and Tay-Sachs disease. View Fertility Solutions’ affordable IVF with PGD plans.
Treatment of underlying disorders and advanced surgery
Sometimes, a fertility issue is due to an underlying condition that can be treated on its own, allowing for the potential of natural conception post-treatment. Examples of such conditions include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids, endometriosis, polyps, adhesions, and tubal obstruction. Fertility Solutions offers treatment and surgical options, including advanced laparoscopic and advanced hysteroscopic surgery.
